Yuki, in Japanese means Happiness! And it is this feeling that the founders want every guest to experience when they dine at this All-Day Japanese Cafe
About two years ago, a Japanese entrepreneur, Etsuko Michishita, visited Manila to see for herself what the Philippines and its people were all about. She heard from her friends that Filipinos loved visiting Japan and enjoyed eating Japanese food.
Michishita-san is a native of Sapporo, Hokkaido, and is engaged in several businesses, but her greatest passion is food. She has an all-day café in Sapporo called Sweets Smile, and her philosophy is that the food she serves in her café must bring smiles to all her customers. She now serves as consultant for Yuki Café to bring the flavors of Hokkaido to the Philippines, with the goal to make all of its customers smile and be happy.
Yuki Flavors of Hokkaido opened its first branch at The Assembly Grounds at The Rise along Malugay Street, Makati City in July 2019. Yuki Café is open for breakfast and closes late, to serve well-loved Hokkaido dishes such as the famous Taiyaki (fish shaped filled waffles) and Japanese Pancake Souffle in a relaxing and cozy setting.
Apart from traditional Japanese dishes like Tempura, Beef Gyudon, Hamburg Curry, Beef Sukiyaki and Karaage, Yuki serves all-day food items. There is a wide selection of Pasta dishes like Carbonara, Vongole and Mentaiko; and Japanese Sandwiches with fillings such as Egg Salad, Ham and Cheese, and Katsudon. The Café also serves various breakfast and snack options like Classic or Liege Waffles, Souffle Pancakes, Taiyaki and Crepes with various flavors such as Matcha Azuki, Mango Dulce de Leche and Banana Nutella.
Yuki uses dark roast Columbian coffee with chocolate aroma and flavors of dark chocolate with hint of spice. It’s a bold rich dark chocolate flavor with a balanced after taste. Try our best-selling Long Black and Flat White.
